Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using Deeplingo.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Deeplingo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Deeplingo is an AI-powered online platform that provides practice tests and study materials for the TCF Canada and TEF Canada French proficiency exams. The Service includes Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking practice tests with AI-generated feedback and progress analytics.

Deeplingo is an independent practice platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to France Éducation international (FEI), the Centre international d'études pédagogiques (CIEP), or the Agence pour la formation professionnelle des adultes (AFPA/AFTLV).

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activities under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at support@deeplingo.ca if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
  • Not create more than one account per person.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Deeplingo offers a free Basic plan and paid subscription plans (Premium and Unlimited). By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand.

We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Refunds are available within 7 days of the first payment for new subscribers. After 7 days, refunds are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
  • Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple people to use a single account.
  • Reproduce, distribute, or sell any content, practice tests, or AI-generated feedback from the Service.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service by automated means.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on Deeplingo — including practice questions, audio materials, AI feedback, and platform design — is owned by Deeplingo or its licensors and is protected by copyright. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial exam preparation purposes only.

7. AI-Generated Content

Feedback, scores, and analyses generated by artificial intelligence are provided for educational purposes only. They are not official exam results and do not guarantee any particular outcome on official TCF Canada or TEF Canada examinations. AI feedback may contain errors; use your own judgement and consult qualified language instructors where appropriate.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Deeplingo and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Ontario, Canada.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
